We heard this place was good and it did not disappoint. AND it's around the corner from where we live which makes it extra dangerous. The food is amazing. On our first visit the two of us demolished the tlayuda in one sitting. Today it was tacos - brisket, carnitas, chicken, chorizo. OMG - delicious and a bargain at $3.25 each. Just for context our most recent tacos were eaten in CDMX where al pastor was invented so I don't take the endorsement lightly! Also providing a pic of the menu as a community service. And to address the 1 star reviews: clearly they didn't understand this is a food truck.

Stopped by here again today because I love myself. I had the mango agua fresa and it was so refreshing and not overly sweet. It's fresh mango, I just know it is. I had tacos again and I think the carnitas are my favorite. Oh! They also have a green sauce that I have not tried yet, but will next time. The sauce I was talking about in my last review is red, and it is The Sauce of Life!

Amazing authentic flavor. Our new go to spot for lunch when I am in San José. Service was pretty quick. It is a little on the pricier side.

After playing some badminton on a Friday night, we wanted to get something to eat. One of our friends wanted tacos and we planned to go get tacos at this one food truck, but we passed by this one right as we were heading out on Story and decided to try this instead. This ended up being a great last minute decision. I wasn't really hungry as I had dinner already, but I still wanted to try their food. I got two tacos: asada and suadero. They have two types of tortillas: regular or hand-made. I went with the regular ones since they were cheaper, but I would be down to come back to try their hand-made ones. They also had cantaloupe juice, and since all my friends got one, I decided to try it as well. The food truck had a couple of tables set up with a canopy and a string of bright light bulbs. They also had a big tv on their truck, and they were playing some reality horror show or something. The cantaloupe juices came out pretty quickly and the food came out shortly after. I literally had tacos the night before, and although these tacos are a little more on the expensive side, I preferred them. They were warm and the tortillas held up well and weren't soggy. It was very straightforward with the protein, onions/cilantro on top, and lime/caramelized onions on the side. They also had sauces on the table in squeeze bottles which were mess-free and convenient. The cantaloupe juice was delicious! This was my first time trying it, and I was amazed. This was a great last-minute find. When we came, it was pretty empty, but towards the end when we were finishing up, it was poppin'. All the seats were taken and there were a lot more cars pulled into the parking lot. It seems to be a popular food truck for good reason. I hope to return again soon.

I tried this spot today, I'm impressed on how good the food it taste, just that homemade and authentic flavor that it's hard to find nowadays in a food place , highly recommended and the cashier was really friendly, I'll be back for more!!! Thank you so much for your work guys, you're doing amazing and please don't change this flavors. Because most places when they get praise they go downhill. Just keep doing what you're doing.

4.5 stars Regarding my food experiences, I found that it is not better to have loved & lost than to not have loved at all. At an event in San Jose's History Park, I stopped by Mi Rinconcito Oaxaqueño's food truck & ordered two Picaditas (I've seen them called Sopes before.) Had I known I'd enjoy them as much as I did, I would've bought a few more to bring home because the next day, I had a serious hankering for them & my only options were to drive 50 miles to San Jo or settle for mediocre imitations closer to me. There was perfection in its simplicity -- disks of thick, homemade tortillas topped with onions, spicy red salsa, & fresh cheese. Of course you can choose green salsa & to top it with meat, but the way I ordered it was 100% right in my book. Delicious ingredients & nothing else. BF ordered Entomatadas, which looked like enchiladas served with a thin steak, as well as Quesobirrias. How do I get Mi Rinconcito Oaxaqueno in my rotation without spending a grip on gas money every time I have a craving?!

Came here for dinner. It is directly across the street from Tostadas. I felt like we were cheating on them. Saw so much about the tlayuda and was determined to try it. Of course when I got there I had to order more. I ordered a chicken quesadilla for myself, too. Gavin, forever burrito lover so he stuck w/ that. I did not try it but based on its picture the burrito was loaded, the rice, chicken, and beans were nicely distributed. The tlayuda is not something I enjoyed. Maybe the crunchy tortilla or the meats were very salty and dry... but the bean paste and cheese was delicious. The highlight of my meal was their chicken quesadilla. Absolutely delicious and tasty! Friendly service and beware as there is always a line. They accept cards and have one table in front of their truck if you want to sit while you wait for your order or if you want to enjoy your meal there. I'm not a fan of outdoor dining due to the hot sun or wind so we took ours home to enjoy. They accept cards! Parking can be a hassle too because the gas station that they're stationed at does not have optimal space.
